Motherboard manufacturers no longer make motherboards with IDE controllers. That is fine for computer manufacturers and most users who wouldn’t know what that means any way. However; those that are technically oriented and have a bunch of IDE drives are facing a bit of an issue. They have a hard time finding motherboards that have an IDE controller and take a Pentium 4 CPU + DDR memory. That can help you put together a solid system good enough for most people and save a lot of IDE hard drives from the landfill. They are good drives. Why not put them to good use.
